Assurance was founded by Mills Menser. Mills is a third generation jeweler who owns Buchroeders Jewelers in Columbia, Missouri. When he bought the jewelry store from his father in 2008 he transformed it from the traditional retail model into a bridal boutique focusing on diamonds, engagement rings, wedding bands, and service income.
Always looking for new ways to improve business Mills came up with an idea to provide the ultimate extended warranty plan to customers. He was frustrated with not being able to help upset customers who were having difficulty with insurance claims and of sending business to someone else when he knew he could do it better.
Assurance provides customers with a comprehensive limited warranty that covers center stone loss, restoration, all repairs, and item replacement if applicable, with no annual inspections required. It gives jewelers the autonomy to help customers without having to deal with strict corporate policies and allows them to capitalize on their advantages over the competition; lower cost of replacement goods, in-house repair services and little to no additional overhead.
